Coach Johann is more than just a vocal coach; he’s a lifelong student of the voice. He blends his medical background from La Salle with a lifetime of musical training, giving him a unique and deep understanding of the anatomical and functional aspects of the human voice. His journey began at age four, learning from his father, a UP College of Music Choral Conducting and Trumpet Major, and has since grown to include a rich history of singing in choirs, winning competitions, and even training and performing with the world-renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers, under the tutelage of Maestro Mark Anthony Carpio. This extensive experience culminated in his time when he be became a semi-finalist with his tenor group on GMA 7’s The Voice Generations, under the team of Stell of SB19. Beyond the stage, Coach Johann is also an accomplished actor, sound engineer and award-winning host (Aliw Awards Best Host), recognized for his captivating presence. He continues to refine his craft under the guidance of world-class tenor Maestro Arthur Espiritu. With over 2 decades of experience in Sales, Marketing & Business Development in the corporate world, he now builds his company, Magnify MNL Studios from the ground, up. As the Founder, President, and Head Vocal Coach of Magnify MNL Studios, he brings this wealth of knowledge and passion to every student, helping them unlock their full vocal potential through the concept of Vocal Intelligence which he originally formulated.
